About LifeOS
An independent iPhone productivity app created by Kaing Bunly.
LifeOS is an independent daily planner and task manager for iPhone and iPad developed by Kaing Bunly. Built on the core principle of Plan time. Track reality., LifeOS separates responsibility (Tasks) from calendar commitments (Schedule), organizes daily focus into Now, Next, and Remaining, and records truthful history where what became true stays.
What LifeOS is (and what it is not)
Because the term “Life OS” is sometimes used loosely in the productivity community, here is what LifeOS actually is:
- An independent native iOS app: LifeOS is a dedicated software application crafted specifically for iPhone and iPad, available on the Apple App Store (ID 6789181708).
- Not a Notion template: LifeOS is not a database setup, workspace dashboard, or template for third-party note applications. It has its own custom interface, native notifications, and local offline architecture.
- Not an enterprise project suite: LifeOS does not contain team gantt charts, corporate ticket queues, or sprint retrospectives. It is built for individual daily clarity.
- Not an operating system firmware: LifeOS is a productivity application running on Apple iOS, designed to fit into your existing daily routine.
Why LifeOS was built
Most productivity tools force people into one of two extremes:
- The bottomless to-do list: Fifty items with due dates, accumulating overdue red flags whenever a single day falls behind schedule.
- Inflexible time blocking: Every minute packed with colored calendar boxes, which collapse as soon as an unexpected phone call or meeting runs long.
LifeOS was created to provide a calm middle ground: a system where intention is respected, but reality is tracked honestly.
The Core Operating Model
LifeOS operates on four foundational pillars:
1. Tasks vs. Schedule
Tasks hold responsibility. Schedule holds reserved time. A meeting or time block ending does not mean your work is done. By separating what needs doing from the time set aside to do it, you can adapt your schedule without losing track of your responsibilities. Learn more →
2. Now. Next. Remaining.
Seeing twelve tasks at once generates cognitive overload. LifeOS focuses your active attention on Now, previews Next, and keeps Remaining quietly accessible until you are ready. Learn more →
3. Calm Recovery
When plans shift, work doesn't need to roll over into compounding debt. LifeOS gives you four clean review choices: Completed, Missed, Skipped, or Plan again. How replanning works →
4. What became true stays
Your timeline is a truthful mirror of what actually happened, not a rewritten record designed to look neat. A trustworthy history creates genuine confidence. Overdue vs Missed →
About the Creator
LifeOS is designed and built by Kaing Bunly, an independent software engineer and designer based in Phnom Penh. It is created with a focus on craft, calm interface aesthetics, and software durability.
As an independent product, LifeOS is free from venture capital growth quotas, ad-tech tracking libraries, and artificial engagement loops. Every feature is evaluated by one standard: does this give the person using it more clarity and calm?
